Neoprene Core Technology
NEOPRENE CORE TECHNOLOGY is a revolutionary concept in outerwear design. Until recently, ultra- thin neoprene was impossible to produce. Neoprene Core Technology joins this ultra-thin neoprene core with proven outdoor fabrics in a special lamination process. The resulting combination is a high performance material that provides superior warmth, inherent flotation and incredible flexibility. Interior moisture wicking fleece keeps you warm while the exterior windproof, waterproof shell sheds water quickly.
1. “ High Stretch ” Windproof/Water proof Materials – Experience the freedom of a limitless range of motion. Just like a surfer moves in the water, fluid and explosive, you can move on land without restrictions. STORMR products conform to your body and move without binding or confining the user. The Neoprene core, water-tight thermal taped seams, water repellant finish and micro fleece lining keep the elements out while trapping warm air between your body and the jacket. The STORMR functions like a wetsuit, only it provides a thermal barrier of warm air rather than water.
2. Positive Buoyancy – A major benefit unique to products constructed using Neoprene Core Technology is inherent buoyancy. STORMR Jackets and Bibs when worn together provide up to 10 pounds of positive buoyancy. Although STORMR products do not replace USCG Approved Flotation Devices, they work to increase your flotation and provide additional thermal protection in the event of full immersion in cold water.
3. Durable Water-Repellant OUTER SHELL– The entire exterior fabric is treated with a water-repellant finish that prevents precipitation from saturating the jacket’s exterior face fabric. Even though the jacket is waterproof, this added feature keeps the jacket lightweight and dry during long periods of inclement weather.
